(The Light of SSCO News) On September 3, 2024, the 79th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War, and to welcome the arrival of the International Day of Peace (September 21), Mr. Chen Entian, the creator of the song “Peace Gull”, the Chairman of the Southern Silk Road International Cooperation Committee(SSCO) of the World Peace and United Front and the World Peace Ribbon Organization , and the person who is honored by the international community as Prince Coco, arrived at Singapore on a plane that circled like a “Peace Gull” for 41 minutes. This is both a coincidence and a sign of providence, indicating that the war against Japanese fascism and the defense of Singapore took place in 1941, and at the same time, honoring the memory of the people who died in the period of the Japanese occupation and the martyrs, and dedicating to the 79th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War.

Upon his arrival in Singapore, Chen Entian went to the Peace Memorial Monument and bowed three times to the people who died during the Japanese Occupation as well as to the deceased martyrs, and at the same time, on behalf of the Association of South Ocean Chen(Tan) Clan, he honored the memory of his predecessor, the leader of the anti-Japanese Chinese community in Singapore, Mr. Tan Kah Kee. On December 8, 1941, Japan launched the South Pacific War and soon occupied the entire Malay Peninsula, and on January 30 of the following year, war broke out in Singapore. At this time, the British colonial authorities took the initiative to invite the Chinese leader Tan Kah Kee to come forward and organize and mobilize the Chinese to participate in the defense of Singapore. On February 15, 1942, Japan captured Singapore and began its 3½-year rule over the country. According to incomplete statistics, at least 50,000 Chinese Singaporeans were killed. On September 12, 1945, the Allied Command Southeast Asia held an official ceremony to accept the Japanese surrender.

Singapore Peace Monument, also known as the Memorial to the Victims of the Japanese Occupation, is located at the Memorial Park, Meiji Road, Singapore, and consists of four 92.5-meter-high white pillars, representing the unity of Singapore's four major races in the world's anti-fascist war.In the 1960s, the remains of those massacred during the Japanese Occupation period were found in many parts of the country, and the relevant authorities collected the remains of the victims and collated the information on the war and constructed the “Memorial to the Victims of Japanese Occupation” in 1967. During Chen Entian's visit to Singapore, apart from paying homage to the Singapore Peace Monument, he also met with Mr. Chen Ming, the great-grandson of the Chinese leader Mr. Tan Kah Kee who defended the war in Singapore, and the Chairman of IMPACT OF ASIA LIMITED (IOA) , to discuss the cooperation plan of “Promoting development in the NanYang”.
