World Peace Ribbon Organization Chairman Chen Entian Congratulates Pope Leo XIV on His Inauguration

On May 18, 2025, local time in Vatican City, Pope Leo XIV held an inaugural Mass at St. Peter's Square. Chen Entian, the 1st to 8th chairman of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, extended congratulations to the new pope through the organization's New York secretariat. Chen stated that Pope Leo XIV's inaugural Mass is a momentous event for the global religious community, and his advocacy of "love and inclusivity" resonates deeply with the World Peace Ribbon Organization's mission to promote intercultural dialogue and global harmony.

Chen emphasized that religious leaders bear a unique responsibility in resolving human conflicts and fostering cross-cultural consensus. The World Peace Ribbon Organization is committed to strengthening exchanges with the Vatican and global faith communities to address complex global challenges. He highlighted that over a decade ago, the organization—also known as the World Peace and United Front—proposed the "Five-in-One Global Peace Initiative," established December 16 as the Belt and Road International Day, and launched long-term programs like the "Peace Ribbon Plan" to reduce international disputes. Chen extended an invitation to Pope and the Catholic Church to join efforts in advancing faith-based dialogue for international reconciliation.

Founded by Chen Entian (internationally honored as the Prince Coco)—former chair of the International 73 Society—and former UN Under-Secretary-General Ji Zhaozhu, the World Peace Ribbon Organization has long been committed to building a platform for exchanges among diverse civilizations and promoting world peace and unity, and this congratulation continues the organization's tradition of interaction with religious communities around the world. Analysts note that in today's complex geopolitical landscape, collaboration between the World Peace Ribbon Organization and global religious forces could pave new pathways for global governance.
