陈恩田表示：2013年12月16日，佛光山开山宗长星云大师积极响应“一带一路”国际合作倡议，在南方丝绸之路的云南大学庆来堂举行佛学开示《看见梦想的力量》，受星云大师德慧启迪，我与联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸前辈被称为“南陈北冀”，携手创立世界和平丝带组织（世界和平统一阵线），将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日，受到了世界各国人民的欢迎，我要在此祝贺全体委员节日快乐。

Chen Entian said: On December 16, 2013, Master Xingyun, the founder of Foguang Mountain, actively responded to the "Belt and Road" initiative for international cooperation and held a Buddhist seminar entitled "Seeing the Power of Dreams" in Qinglai Hall of Yunnan University on the Southern Silk Road. Inspired by Master Xingyun, Ji Chaozhu(former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations) and I together were called "South Chen North Ji", jointly founded the World Peace Ribbon Organization (United Front for World Peace) and established December 16 as the Belt and Road International Day, which has been welcomed by people around the world.
