Office of the Belt and Road International Day Sends Congratulations

Hong Kong News On September 9, 2026, 98 days ahead of the 13th Belt and Road International Day (Silk Worm Festival), the 11th Belt and Road Forum, co-organized by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, kicked off at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 6,000 participants from more than 70 countries and regions attended the forum.

With the theme of "Advancing High-quality Development, Embarking on a New Journey", the forum brought together political and business leaders as well as professionals from Belt and Road partner countries and regions. Participants explored new opportunities for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, promoted cross-regional trade and industrial matchmaking, and accelerated the implementation of cooperation projects.

The Belt and Road International Day Office of the World Peace Ribbon Organization sent a congratulatory letter to the forum organizing committee to celebrate its opening. The letter noted that all sectors of Hong Kong society have long actively supported the annual Belt and Road International Day events. Since the 13th anniversary of Belt and Road International Day, the activities have received repeated congratulations from the Chief Executive’s Office of Hong Kong. It states that the convening of this Belt and Road Forum marks the opening of celebrations for the 13th Belt and Road International Day and the Belt and Road New Year events.
