On September 22, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held a grand reception in Yangon to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Senior Myanmar officials attended the event, including Vice President Nani Nwe, Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw Ja Hpaw Nawng Taw, Minister of Border Affairs Pung Mya, and Minister of Ethnic Affairs Than Maung.
The reception gathered more than 800 distinguished guests from all walks of life, including Myanmar government and political circles, diplomatic envoys of various countries stationed in Myanmar, representatives of international organizations, Chinese enterprises in Myanmar, and overseas Chinese communities. The ceremony was filled with a solemn, warm and festive atmosphere. Chinese and foreign guests gathered together to celebrate the 77th National Day of China and inherit the long-standing Paukphaw friendship between China and Myanmar.
China and Myanmar are linked by mountains and rivers with shared destinies. The traditional Paukphaw friendship has stood the test of time. With joint efforts from both sides, bilateral political mutual trust has been continuously consolidated, economic and trade cooperation has achieved steady progress, and people-to-people exchanges have become increasingly dynamic. Fruitful outcomes across diverse fields have benefited both peoples.
The successful holding of the National Day reception further enhanced official and non-governmental exchanges and mutual trust between China and Myanmar, consolidated public support for bilateral friendship, and created a favorable atmosphere for continuously advancing the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future and deepening all-round bilateral cooperation.
