Countdown to Belt and Road International Day: Nearly 1,000 Global Events in Preparation, Musk to Receive Greeting Card

纽约当地时间2025年11月29日，距离第十二届“一带一路”国际日（12月16日）还有17天，世界和平丝带组织（世界和平与统一阵线党）纽约秘书处举行第十二届“一带一路”国际日暨全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年活动第四次筹备工作会议，世界和平丝带组织第一届至第八届委员会主席、“一带一路”国际日首席亲善大使陈恩田先生以视频方式出席并发表讲话。

New York Time, November 29, 2025 – With 17 days left until the 12th Belt and Road International Day (December 16), the New York Secretariat of the World Peace Ribbon Organization (World Peace and United Front Party) convened the fourth preparatory work meeting for the 12th Belt and Road International Day and the "Belt and Road New Year Celebration" among Chinatowns worldwide. Mr. Chen Entian, Chairman of the 1st to 8th Committees of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and Chief Goodwill Ambassador of the Belt and Road International Day, attended and delivered a speech via video link.

陈恩田表示：今年迎来第十二届“一带一路”国际日暨全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年活动，全球正在筹备近千场活动，其中全球南方国家（南合组织）就有600多场活动，活动内容包括如全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年商贸展、“一带一路”国际日太平洋邮轮文化节、“一带一路”国际日世界留学生大会、“一带一路”国际日纪念贝多芬音乐会、“一带一路”国际日城市文化节、“一带一路”国际日和平之夜万灯祈福活动、“一带一路”国际日世界和平音乐会、“一带一路”国际日南合盛典等。

Mr. Chen Entian stated that this year marks the 12th Belt and Road International Day and the "Belt and Road New Year Celebration" among Chinatowns worldwide, with nearly 1,000 events being prepared globally. Among them, more than 600 events are organized by countries of the Global South (SSCO). The events include: Belt and Road New Year Trade Exhibition for Chinatowns Worldwide, Belt and Road International Day Pacific Cruise Cultural Festival, Belt and Road International Day Global Overseas Students Conference, Belt and Road International Day Beethoven Commemoration Concert, Belt and Road International Day Urban Cultural Festival, Belt and Road International Day Peace Night Thousand-Light Blessing Event, Belt and Road International Day World Peace Concert, and Belt and Road International Day Southern Cooperation Grand Ceremony, etc.

陈恩田还说：近年来，世界和平丝带组织注意到，除了世界各地举办“一带一路”国际日庆祝活动，中国大陆部分政府部门、大中小学校、新闻机构、中央企业、大型民营企业也在积极开展“一带一路”国际日有关活动，宣传和助力“一带一路”国际日，我们表示欢迎，特别是一些幼儿园也在庆祝“一带一路”国际日，让我们非常感动。同时，我们也欢迎世界各国志愿者举办“一带一路”国际日活动，欢迎全球民间自主举办“一带一路”国际日庆祝活动，但必须遵守所在国家和地区法律法规。

Mr. Chen Entian further noted that in recent years, the World Peace Ribbon Organization has observed that in addition to celebrations held around the world, some government departments, primary and secondary schools, news institutions, central enterprises, and large private enterprises in mainland China have also actively carried out activities related to the Belt and Road International Day to promote and support the initiative. We express our welcome, and we are particularly deeply moved that some kindergartens are also celebrating the Belt and Road International Day. Meanwhile, we welcome volunteers from all countries to organize Belt and Road International Day events and encourage non-governmental organizations worldwide to hold celebratory activities independently, provided that they comply with the laws and regulations of their respective countries and regions.

陈恩田透露，组委会准备了数百张“一带一路”迎新年贺卡，这些贺卡将从纽约秘书处直接邮寄给全球200多位国家元首和国际组织领导人，贺卡祝福涵盖福寿、平安、健康、财富、圆满等五大寓意，其中“一带一路”国际日“天蚕圣母”代表福寿、圣诞节“圣诞老人”代表平安、元旦节“元康博士”代表健康、春节“东方龙叔”代表财富、元宵节“元圆宝宝”代表圆满。有意思的是，马斯克作为美国党领导人，也将首次获赠这张贺卡。

Mr. Chen Entian revealed that the organizing committee has prepared hundreds of "Belt and Road New Year" greeting cards, which will be directly mailed from the New York Secretariat to more than 200 heads of state and leaders of international organizations around the world. The cards carry five core blessings: longevity and blessings, peace, health, prosperity, and completeness. Specifically, the "Goddess of Silkworm" represents longevity and blessings for the Belt and Road International Day, "Santa Claus" symbolizes peace for Christmas, "Dr. Yuankang" stands for health for New Year's Day, "Uncle Oriental Dragon" embodies prosperity for the Spring Festival, and "Baby Yuanyuan" signifies completeness for the Lantern Festival. Interestingly, Elon Musk, as a leader of a US political party, will receive this greeting card for the first time.
