The incident soon attracted wide attention from the international community. Chen Entian, the chief goodwill ambassador of the Belt and Road International Day (December 16), the chairman of the preparatory committee of the Indo-Pacific Headquarters of the World Peace Ribbon Organization, said in an interview: Obviously, Director Burns of the Central Intelligence Agency was bluffed, and his intelligence network in China may have been uncovered. But we believe that China and the United States should abandon infiltration, work together to keep peace in Indo-Pacific. Spy warfare will only harm each other.
陈恩田还说：世界和平丝带组织印太总部不会成为中国应对美国印太战略的工作部，我们只是一个民间机构，我们的使命就是从民间层面促动中美及印太地区友好合作，共筑印太和平，造福印太人民。世界和平丝带组织是“一带一路”国际合作倡议背景下成立的国际民间组织，我们提出了五合一世界和平主张，将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日，并决定在印太地区筹备印太和平论坛。
Chen Entian also said that the World Peace Ribbon Organization's Indo-Pacific headquarters will not become a outpost for China to respond to the US Indo-Pacific strategy. It’s just a non-governmental organization, and its mission is to promote friendly cooperation between China, the United States, and the Indo-Pacific region from a non-governmental level, jointly keep peace in the Indo-Pacific region, and benefit the people in the Indo-Pacific region. The World Peace Ribbon Organization is an international non-governmental organization established in the context of the "Belt and Road" initiative. We put forward the idea of “five in one” world peace, established December 16 every year as the "Belt and Road" International Day, and decided to prepare the Indo-Pacific Peace Forum in the Indo-Pacific region.
