十多年前，中国官媒披露陈恩田的祖父陈光美实际是中共创始人陈独秀与高君曼所生之子，佐证了关于陈恩田是陈独秀曾孙的民间传闻。陈恩田曾经担任全球第一大学社“七三国际学社”主席，后与联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸创立世界和平丝带组织，提出了五合一世界和平主张，他也是国际中文日（4月20日）、国际茶日（5月21日）、“一带一路”国际日（12月16日）等国际民间节日的倡议者和推动者，国际社会尊称其为“可可亲王”。
