Du Guoyong, on behalf of Silk Road News Agency, extends congratulations to the 15th European Chinese

According to Silk Road News Agency, local time July 18 in Italy, the 15th European Chinese Media Forum officially opened in Milan, Italy — the "Pearl of the Silk Road" — in grand style. Hosted by the European Chinese Media Association and organized by European Chinese News of Italy, the forum, themed "Integration and Innovation of Chinese Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)", brought together nearly 80 representatives from over 40 Chinese media outlets across more than 20 European countries, along with invited delegates from China's domestic news and media industry, to explore new pathways for AI-empowered media transformation.

Du Guoyong, Deputy Secretary-General of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and Director-General of its Poland Committee, was invited to attend the event. He conveyed the sincere congratulations from Mr. Chen Entian — great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, Founder of the Communist Party of China, Chairman of the World Peace Ribbon Organization's Southern Silk Road and Global South International Cooperation Committee, and President of Silk Road News Agency — on the successful convening of the forum. Silk Road News Agency is affiliated with the World Peace Ribbon Organization, headquartered in New York, and operates media outlets including Nasdaq Chinese Channel 1216 International Radio, World Journal Chinese Website, Silk Road Magazine Press, and Southern Silk Road. Mr. Chen Entian, President of the agency, formerly served as Chairman of the International Chinese Learning Committee, and is also the earliest proposer and promoter of several international civil observances, including International Chinese Language Day (April 20), International Tea Day (May 21), International Day of the Belt and Road (December 16), and Earth Unity Day (January 1).

During the forum, Chinese media practitioners from home and abroad focused on the application of AI technologies, exchanged in-depth experience on integrated media development, and discussed new ideas and measures for the innovative transformation of Chinese media and the quality-and-efficiency enhancement of international communication in the new era. Du Guoyong remarked that European Chinese media serve as a vital bridge between China and the world. He expressed hope that, leveraging AI technology to innovate communication methods and rally the strength of overseas Chinese media, they can better tell China's stories and the stories of the Silk Road, contributing to deeper mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations and the steady advancement of practical cooperation.
