Kunming ASEAN Association Congratulates Myanmar Belt and Road Development Company on 8th Anniversary

NAY PYI TAW, Oct. 17 (Local Time) — Fifty-nine days ahead of the 12th Belt and Road International Day and the Global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year celebrations, He Ming, President of the Kunming ASEAN International Trade and Investment Promotion Association, sent a letter to Chen Kongjun (Chen Entian), head of the Southern Silk Road and "China-Myanmar Air Road" project, extending congratulations on the 8th anniversary of the founding of Myanmar Belt and Road Development Company Limited.

2017年，第一届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛在北京成功举办，经缅甸联邦共和国批准，缅甸“一带一路”发展有限公司成立，公司首任董事局主席由缅甸国家大臣兼任，公司第二任董事局主席由南合组织主席、“中缅空路”项目负责人陈空军（陈恩田）兼任。

In 2017, following the successful inaugural Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing, Myanmar Belt and Road Development Company Limited was established with approval from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The company’s first Board Chairman was concurrently held by a Myanmar State Minister, while the second Chairmanship was assumed by Chen Kongjun (Chen Entian), President of the Southern Cooperation Organization (SSCO) and head of the "China-Myanmar Air Road" project.

贺信赞扬缅甸“一带一路”发展有限公司积极响应 “一带一路” 国际合作倡议，主动投身 “一带一路” 国际日暨全球唐人街 “一带一路”迎新年活动，以实际行动为区域合作搭建桥梁，不仅为缅甸经济社会发展注入强劲动力，更在深化缅中经贸往来、推动东盟与缅甸区域协作中作出了卓越贡献。

The letter commended the company for actively supporting the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and participating in the Belt and Road International Day and Global Chinatown celebrations. Through concrete actions, the company has bridged regional cooperation, injected robust momentum into Myanmar’s socioeconomic development, and contributed significantly to deepening China-Myanmar economic ties and ASEAN-Myanmar collaboration.

贺信还说：昆明东盟国际贸易投资促进会期待未来能与缅甸“一带一路”发展有限公司加强沟通联动，在东盟市场开拓、跨境贸易投资项目落地、文化交流互鉴等领域探索更多合作空间，共同响应 “一带一路” 倡议的深层需求，为缅中友好、东盟与缅甸协同发展谱写更多共赢篇章。

The association also expressed eagerness to strengthen communication and explore further cooperation in ASEAN market expansion, cross-border trade and investment projects, and cultural exchanges. This aligns with the BRI’s core objectives to foster mutual benefits and write new chapters in China-Myanmar friendship and regional synergy.
