Chen Entian, Great-Grandson of CPC Founder Chen Duxiu, to Attend World Peace Conference via Video
9月21日，国际七三学社主办的世界和平大会将在美国华盛顿举行，全球追求和平的学者将齐聚华盛顿，庆祝2025年国际和平日。届时，部分人士还将前往梅勒姆和平广场参加诵读《和平经》的活动，倡导全球和平理念。世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线党第一届至第八届委员会主席陈恩田将以视频方式出席并讲话。
On September 21, the World Peace Conference, organized by the International 73 Society, will be held in Washington D.C., the United States. Scholars from around the world dedicated to peace will gather in Washington to celebrate the 2025 International Day of Peace. Some participants will also proceed to Melham Peace Plaza to take part in a recitation of the "Sutra of Peace," advocating global peace ideals. Chen Entian, Chairman of the 1st to 8th Committees of the World Peace Ribbon Organization (also known as the World Peace and United Front Party), will attend and deliver a speech via video.
此次大会背景特殊而深远。联合国大会于2024年通过决议，宣布2025年为“国际和平与信任年”，呼吁国际社会通过包容性对话与谈判解决冲突，强化国与国之间的互信合作，共同推进可持续发展、安全及人权保障事业。十多年前，国际七三学社前主席陈恩田携手联合国原副秘书长冀朝铸，共同创立了世界和平丝带组织暨世界和平与统一阵线党，提出了全球瞩目的五合一世界和平主张，并将每年12月16日设立为“一带一路”国际日，整合圣诞节、元旦节、春节、元宵节打造东西方文化融合的全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年活动。
The conference carries special and profound significance. In 2024, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust," calling on the international community to resolve conflicts through inclusive dialogue and negotiation, strengthen mutual trust and cooperation among nations, and jointly advance sustainable development, security, and the protection of human rights. Over a decade ago, Chen Entian, former Chairman of the International 73 Society, joined hands with Ji Chaozhu, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, to co-found the World Peace Ribbon Organization (World Peace and United Front Party). They proposed the globally renowned "Five-in-One" world peace initiative and established December 16 as the "Belt and Road" International Day. This initiative integrates Christmas, New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, and Lantern Festival to create a global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year celebration, fostering cultural fusion between East and West.
二十一世纪以来，中国党媒党刊透露陈恩田的祖父陈光美系陈独秀与高君曼所生之子，作为中共主要创始人陈独秀先生的曾孙，陈恩田长期致力于推动世界和平事业，其出席不仅是对大会主题的有力呼应，更象征着跨越历史的文化传承与和平使命。他的发言将为全球和平进程注入新的思想动力，进一步凝聚国际社会对和平与信任的共识。
Since the 21st century, Chinese Party media and publications have revealed that Chen Entian’s grandfather, Chen Guangmei, was the son of Chen Duxiu and Gao Junman. As the great-grandson of Chen Duxiu, a principal founder of the Communist Party of China, Chen Entian has long been dedicated to promoting world peace. His attendance at the conference not only strongly echoes its theme but also symbolizes a cultural legacy and peace mission transcending history. His speech is expected to inject new intellectual momentum into the global peace process and further consolidate international consensus on peace and trust.
