南合组织2024年10月18日消息，今年是陈嘉庚先辈诞辰一百五十周年，厦门市人民政府通过《嘉庚教育遗产保护办法》，自今年起，将每年10月21日确定为“嘉庚教育遗产日”。南洋陈氏宗亲总会联席理事长、南合组织行政委员会主席陈恩田表示：热烈祝贺厦门市这一重大举措，我们也为陈嘉庚先辈及其家族感到高兴。
SSCO news, October 18, 2024 - This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tan Kah Kee. Xiamen authorities adopted the Measures for the Protection of Tan Kah Kee Educational Heritage. Starting this year, October 21 will be designated as “Kah Kee Education Heritage Day”. Chen En Tian, co-chairman of the Association of South Ocean Chen(Tan) Clan and chairman of the SSCO Administrative Committee, said:We congratulate the Xiamen authorities on this decision, and we are happy for Mr. Tan Kah Kee and his family.

《嘉庚教育遗产保护办法》明确了嘉庚教育遗产的概念，将嘉庚教育遗产定义为承载、体现嘉庚教育思想和兴学实践。此外，《嘉庚教育遗产保护办法》明确了嘉庚教育遗产的保护名录，包括集美学村和厦门大学的部分重要楼群、华侨博物院主楼等嘉庚建筑以及集美龙舟池等公共配套设施、陈嘉庚墓（鳌园）、陈嘉庚先生故居等与陈嘉庚先生有关的建（构）筑物；承载和体现嘉庚教育思想的文献、手稿、图书资料和其他代表性实物。
the Measures for the Protection of Tan Kah Kee Educational Heritage clarifies the concept of Tan Kah Kee educational heritage. It defines Kah Kee educational heritage as carrying and embodying Kah Kee educational thoughts and practices. In addition, the Measures for the Protection of Kah Kee Educational Heritage specifies the protection list of Kah Kee educational heritage, including the Jimei Academic Village and some of the important buildings of Xiamen University, the main building of the Overseas Chinese Museum and other Kah Kee buildings, as well as Jimei Dragon Boat Pool and other public supporting facilities, Tan Kah Kee's tomb (Aoyuan), Mr. Tan Kah Kee's former residence and other buildings (structures) related to Mr. Tan Kah Kee; documents and manuscripts carrying and embodying the ideas of Kah Kee, Books and other representative objects.

据悉，今年厦门市纪念陈嘉庚先辈诞辰150周年活动主要有38项，包括厦门各界祭扫陈嘉庚先生墓园仪式、海峡两岸龙舟赛、陈嘉庚先生诞辰150周年音乐会、座谈会、理论研讨会、专题展览，以及陈嘉庚先生故居修缮及展陈复原工程竣工仪式、亮灯纪念等一系列活动。厦门大学、集美大学、华侨大学也将举办相关纪念活动。
It is reported that this year, Xiamen City, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Tan Kah Kee, there will be 38 major activities, including Paying Respects at Tan Kah Kee’s gravesite, Cross-strait dragon boat races, Concert, Symposiums, Theoretical seminars and Thematic exhibitions on the 150th Anniversary of the Birth of Mr. Tan Kah Kee, and the completion ceremony for the renovation and restoration of the former residence of Mr. Tan Kah Kee. Xiamen University, Jimei University and Overseas Chinese University will also organize related commemorative activities.
