Ladies and gentlemen, on the occasion of the arrival of the New Year's Day festival, on behalf of the Global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration Organizing Committee and 300,000 public welfare volunteers, I extend my sincerest greetings and heartfelt wishes to the people of countries and regions along the Belt and Road, to people of all nations across the globe, and to overseas Chinese and friends from all countries who participated in the 12th Belt and Road International Day · Silkworm God's Day and the Global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration!

元旦是公历新年的开端，象征着更迭、希望与重生。当新年的曙光再次普照大地，我们不仅回顾过往的足迹，更满怀信心地展望未来的旅程。此刻，我们正身处一个由“一带一路”迎新年系列活动所串联的、充满欢乐与交融的节庆季节之中。从12月16日承载着和平发展、文明对话美好愿景的“一带一路”国际日暨天蚕节启航，历经倡导博爱与分享的圣诞节，直至今日迎来标志着全新开始的元旦，并将迈向象征团圆、和谐的农历春节与元宵佳节，这是一段跨越文化与时空的“五节共庆”的华彩乐章。

New Year's Day marks the beginning of the calendar year, symbolizing renewal, hope and rebirth. As the first light of the new year shines upon the earth once again, we not only look back on the footprints we have left, but also look forward to the journey ahead with full confidence. At this moment, we are immersed in a joyous and inclusive festive season connected by the series of "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration events. Starting from December 16, when the Belt and Road International Day and Silkworm God's Day were held, carrying the noble visions of peace, development and dialogue among civilizations, we have embraced Christmas, a festival advocating fraternity and sharing, and now usher in New Year's Day, a symbol of brand-new beginnings. We will move on to celebrate the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival, which embody reunion and harmony. This is a magnificent movement of "five festivals celebrated in unison" that transcends cultures and time zones.

Ladies and gentlemen, the core melody of this movement is the spirit of "peace and cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning and mutual benefit, win-win results" advocated by the Belt and Road International Cooperation Initiative. Chinatowns around the world, as vivid epitomes and important hubs for the long-term exchange, mutual learning and coexistence between Chinese culture and the cultures of all ethnic groups in the world, have naturally become brilliant stages for showcasing the integration of civilizations and promoting people-to-people connectivity during this special New Year celebration series. What we have witnessed and participated in is not only the sequential unfolding of festive events, but also the dialogue between different civilizational traditions based on mutual respect, the deepening of understanding through joint celebrations, and the forging of consensus in the vision of cooperation.

Looking back on the past year, the grand picture of Belt and Road cooperation has continued to expand across the globe. The "hard connectivity" of infrastructure has been continuously consolidated, the "soft connectivity" of rules and standards has been deepened, and the "people-to-people connectivity" between people of all countries has been most warmly and directly reflected in these shared festive moments. Trade and investment have boosted prosperity, while cultural exchanges, emotional resonance and joint festival celebrations have woven a spiritual bond connecting you and me, transcending national borders. This bond allows us to appreciate each other's charm amid differences and explore opportunities for cooperation in our common ground.
