China-Myanmar Air Route Set to Become Model for Global South Logistics

10月16日，距离第十二届“一带一路”国际日暨全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年开幕还有60天，“中缅空路”项目负责人、缅甸“一带一路”发展有限公司董事长陈空军（陈恩田）会见全球南方有关国家高层表示：“中缅空路”大型无人机物流运输项目迎来发展契机，有望成为服务全球南方的高效物流示范工程。

On October 16, marking 60 days until the commencement of the 12th Belt and Road International Day and the Global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year celebrations, Chen Kongjun (Chen Entian), head of the China-Myanmar Air Route project and chairman of Myanmar's Belt and Road Development Co., Ltd., stated that the project is ushering in a significant development opportunity. He announced that the large unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) logistics project is poised to become a highly efficient logistics demonstration project serving the Global South.

该项目通过创新航线设计，巧妙避开了缅北敏感区域，主要承载高科技、高价值及快急需物资的运输。其国内段可与中老铁路实现无缝衔接，海外端直接联通印度洋海运网络，形成“铁空海”一体化联运通道，显著提升区域物流效率。

The project features innovative flight path designs that adeptly avoid sensitive areas in northern Myanmar. It is primarily dedicated to transporting high-tech, high-value, and urgently needed supplies. Domestically, the route will achieve seamless connectivity with the China-Laos Railway, while its overseas endpoint will directly link with the Indian Ocean maritime network, thereby forming an integrated "rail-air-sea" multimodal transport channel. This integration is expected to significantly enhance regional logistics efficiency .

近年来，中国自主研发大型货运无人机的技术日益成熟，为全球航空物流变革提供有力支撑，有效载重与航程不断提高。“中缅空路”充分利用这一优势，不仅将为两国创造可观关税收入，更致力于为缅甸的经济繁荣与和平稳定注入新动力。

In recent years, China's domestically developed large cargo UAV technology has become increasingly sophisticated, providing substantial support for the transformation of global aviation logistics. The payload capacity and range of these UAVs continue to improve. Leveraging this advantage, the China-Myanmar Air Route aims not only to generate considerable customs revenue for both countries but also to inject new momentum into Myanmar's economic prosperity and peace stability.

时值缅甸“一带一路”发展有限公司成立八周年，这一项目的推进标志着中缅合作迈向新台阶。项目建成后，有望成为全球南方国家间高效、安全、智能化物流合作的典范，为“一带一路”共建国家提供可复制的成功经验。

The advancement of this project coincides with the 8th anniversary of the establishment of Myanmar's Belt and Road Development Co., Ltd., signifying a new level of cooperation between China and Myanmar. Upon completion, the project is expected to serve as a model for efficient, secure, and intelligent logistics collaboration among Global South nations, offering a replicable success story for other Belt and Road partner countries.
