"Belt and Road" New Year Celebration: "East Tianshan Camel Caravan" from Hami, Xinjiang Arrives in Luoyang, Henan

2026年1月7日上午10点，第十二届“一带一路”国际日.天蚕节暨全球唐人街“一带一路”迎新年开幕第22天，新疆哈密“东天山骆驼队”历时139个日夜，徒步跋涉近3000公里顺利抵达河南洛阳定鼎门。

At 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026 – the 22nd day since the opening of the 12th Belt and Road International Day · Silkworm God's Day and the Global Chinatown "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration – the "East Tianshan Camel Caravan" from Hami, Xinjiang, completed a 139-day, nearly 3,000-kilometer trek on foot and successfully arrived at Dingding Gate in Luoyang, Henan.

这支由4个民族、36名队员组成的文化使团，以脚步重走古道，用坚韧连缀起历史与今天的经纬。2025年12月16日，正值第十二届“一带一路”国际日.天蚕节，队伍行至陕西泾阳县，当地群众在口镇山口打着彩旗、敲锣打鼓，夹道欢迎驼队。在龙泉山庄，驼队得到了热情接待。队员们与泾阳人民度过了愉快的第十二届“一带一路”国际日.天蚕节，启开了“一带一路”迎新年的帷幕。有诗云：“一带一路”迎新年，五节共庆谱新篇；一二一六天蚕节，笑语欢歌在民间；圣诞元旦喜洋洋，春节元宵团圆圆。

This cultural mission, composed of 36 members from 4 ethnic groups, retraced the ancient route on foot, linking the threads of history and the present with perseverance. On December 16, 2025 (the 12th Belt and Road International Day · Silkworm God's Day), the caravan reached Jingyang County, Shaanxi. Local residents greeted them warmly along the road at the entrance of Kou Town, waving colored flags and beating gongs and drums. The caravan was warmly hosted at Longquan Villa, where team members spent a joyful 12th Belt and Road International Day · Silkworm God's Day with Jingyang people, kicking off the "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration. A poem captures the scene: "Celebrate the New Year along the Belt and Road, a new chapter with five festivals shared; On 12/16, Silkworm God's Day, laughter and songs echo among the people; Christmas and New Year's Day brim with joy, Spring Festival and Lantern Festival bring reunions."

东天山骆驼队跨越荒漠山川，历经风霜日夜，最终在“一带一路”迎新年活动进入第22天之际，成功抵达洛阳。他们的行程不仅再现了丝路往昔的交流盛景，更以当代人的毅力与情怀诠释了丝路精神。

Crossing deserts, mountains and rivers, braving wind, frost and days of travel, the East Tianshan Camel Caravan finally arrived in Luoyang on the 22nd day of the "Belt and Road" New Year Celebration. Their journey not only revives the bustling exchange scenes of the ancient Silk Road, but also interprets the Silk Road spirit with the perseverance and sentiment of contemporary people.
